中級のお稽古です。水指は曲げ、茶入れは唐物(ナス型あるいは文琳を使用。茶杓は元節。曲げ水指は杉やヒノキの薄板を曲げてつくった水指のこと。このお点前では茶入れが主役ですので、常に茶入れを両手で扱います。そして茶入れを真にたたんだ袱紗で清めます。平点前に比べると少し難しくなります。
We practiced an intermediate level shikaden( four secret* teaching) karamono( Chinese chaire)today.*shikaden is shared from teacher to student, and not by textbook.With this karamono practice, we use the following items for this particular procedure.
Mizusashi; mage (wooden wear made by bending cypress or cedar)chaire;karamono. Typically the shape is an eggplant or bunrin( round apple shaped).Chashaku; motobushi ( joint of the bamboo is at the end of the chashaku).The main tool, a star, used in this procedure is chaire, so we treat the the chaire with both hands at all times. When we purify thechaire,we also fold the fukusa in the most formal way “shin”. It is a little bit more complicated procedure compare to the regular hirademae, but it is worth learning.
