収納庫を整理していましたら、２～３年前に日本から持ってきた寿棚があることに気づき、早速、このお棚を使ってみました。
14代淡々斎が考案されたこのお棚は地板が四方、天板は八角形の松材の溜塗です。柱は雲形透かしの鰭板が上下についた、四方透かしの二本柱。点前は丸卓と同じなのですが、柄杓は合を上向きに置きます。デザイン、溜塗が美しい。
While I was cleaning the closet, I came across the Kotobuki shelf I brought from Japan a few years ago. Originally designed by the 14th Iemoto Tantansai, this pine wood shelf has a wooden square base and an octagonal top board, both coated with tamenuri lacquer—a colored undercoat and a transparent topcoat. This procedure is the same as marujoku; however, you place the hishaku face up on the top board when decorating it at the end.
