小習い十六か条の内、荘点前（茶碗荘、茶入荘、茶杓荘、茶筅荘）の濃茶、薄茶のお稽古をしました。初入りの迎え付きの床には、お点前の中でお客様に披露したいお道具を荘っておく。
後入りの床は道具の代わりにお花を荘り、道具畳には風炉の横に水指、その蓋の上に茶巾、茶筅、茶杓を置いて、水指の前には茶入れを入れた茶碗を荘っておきます。
In June, we practiced kazari series with both thick and thin tea. At the beginning, before the guests entered the room, the host prepared the room in the alcove by placing the tool to highlight that day. After all the guests left the room for a break, the host replaced the tool with a flower arrangement; displayed the chakin, chasen, and chashaku on top of the mizusashi; and placed the tea container in front of it.
茶碗、茶入れ、茶杓、水指などにまつわる由緒を生徒さんが創作して、拝見の問答の際に聞かせてくれるのも大変楽しいひとときです。
During this procedure, the host tells a story. It is a pleasure to learn about tools that are either memorable gifts or have historic owners.
