月が美しい９月の間に一回は月点前を練習しておきたいと思い、今週は茶箱『月点前』のお稽古をしました。
茶箱のお道具が勢揃いの月点前は道具の名称を覚えるのも一苦労です。
茶箱の中には仕覆に入った棗、茶碗。振り出し、筅筒、ウグイスをかけた巾筒。
茶箱にかけた掛合には古帛紗、仕覆に入った茶杓、香合、小羽根、たたんだ帛紗を置きます。
器据えの上に茶箱を置いて、敷板の上には小火箸を準備して、さあ月点前の始まりです。
漢字で覚えられないアメリカ人の生徒さんたちは音でこれらの道具の名前を覚えます。
つくづく大変だろうな思いますが、皆さん結構ちゃんと覚えているのです！拍手！
Because the moon is most beautiful in September, I wanted to practice the tsuki demae (moon procedure) at least once a year. Remembering the names of the various utensils used in the tsuki Temae can be a challenge.Inside the chabako (tea box), we have natsume (tea caddy), a tea bowl, a furidashi(sweet container), senzutsu(wisk container), and kinzutsu (cloth container) with U-shaped uguisu pin.
On top of the kakego (hanging rack) inside the tea box, there is a kofukusa, a chashaku (tea scoop), (kougou) incense container, a small feather, and a folded fukusa.
We place the tea box on top of a kizue (utensil stand), prepare a small fire chopstick on the shikiita board, and then, the tsuki temae begins. My American students, who have difficulty memorizing the kanji characters, remembered the names of these utensils by sound. Even though it must be challenging for them, they did quite well. I’m proud of them!
