昨日は中秋の名月でしたので、茶箱の月点前をお稽古しました。
年に一回のお稽古、それも拝見のある場合はなかなかお稽古が出来ていませんでしたので、今回は時間のかかるこのお稽古にチャレンジです。
月点前は茶箱点前の中でお道具の勢揃いです。
茶箱、筅筒、巾筒、振出の他、仕服に入った茶碗・棗・茶杓、掛合、器据、ウグイス、小火箸、香合、小羽根。
拝見がかかると掛合の上に、浄めた棗、茶杓、香合をのせ、次に筅筒、巾筒、３つの仕服の入った箱を拝見に出します。
こまごましたお道具を拝見に出す手順、拝見から戻ったお道具類をしまって片づけていく手順、どれも理路整然とした無駄のない所作です。これを考案された１１代玄々斎精中宗室の偉業に脱帽です。
Yesterday was the Harvest Moon Festival, so we practiced the Moon procedure with viewing(Haiken), one of the tea box series. This procedure is a bit challenging since we only practice it once a year, and there are many details to remember. This time, we really pushed ourselves during practice.
The Moon procedure involves the complete set of tools for the tea box, including the tea box, whisk container, tea container, and various utensils, along with the tea bowl, tea caddy, tea scoop, kakego, kizue, U-pin, small fire chopsticks, incense container, and a small feather. For the viewing, we place the purified tea caddy, tea scoop, and incense container on the kakego, followed by the whisk container, tea cloth container, and the three pouches in the tea box.
The steps for presenting the various small tools and for organizing and storing the items after viewing are all carried out in a logical and efficient manner. I am in awe of the achievements of the 11th generation master, Gen-Gen-Sai Soushitsu, who devised this system.
