長月の晦日に、お茶の生徒さんの長年の友人と彼女の師である陶芸家のトムさんをお迎えしました。沢山の作品を創作する中で、お抹茶茶碗を始めお茶の陶製品に興味を持たれ我家の『純心庵』を訪れてくださいました。お茶の点前を見るのは初めてというお二人に、掛物はお茶の4つの精神をうたった『和敬清寂』を選びました。お花は、この数日の冷え込みでススキの穂が美しく伸びてきましたので黄色い小菊と活けました。好みのお茶碗を選んで頂き、それを主茶碗、次茶碗にして更好棚を用いて薄茶を味わって頂きました。私のガラクタばかりのお茶碗にも大変興味を示されて、お茶室におろして来てある秋に相応しいお茶碗を始め、棚にしまってある数々のお茶碗をじっくりと鑑賞されていました。 On the last day of September, we hosted our friend and her pottery class teacher and professional potter, Tom, at our tearoom.
